Trotz ablehnenden Beschlusses bezüglich der Bebauung auf der Knöpfleswiese wird das Projekt an sich und damit verbundenen Ideen und Lösungsansätzen für das zukünftige und nachbarschaftliche Leben vom Gemeinderat weiter unterstützt.

Nach dem Erfolg beim Landeswettbewerb „Urbanes Quartier 2020“ fanden gemeinsam mit der Stadtverwaltung Singen die ersten Überlegungen zur Grundstücksfrage statt. Eine von Lebenswert im Jahre 2016 entwickelte städtebauliche Studie zum Quartier in präferierte Lage nahe dem Stadtzentrum auf der Offwiese, fand aus verschiedenen Gründen keinen Zuspruch.

Daraufhin wurden verschiedene Standorte in der Stadt in Augenschein genommen. Die Stadtverwaltung Singen schlug unter anderen einen Standort in der Nordstadt vor. Dieser ist den Singener unter dem Namen „ Knöpfleswies“ vertraut und befindet sich zwischen der Uhland- und Reichenaustrasse. Dabei handelt es sich um eine von allen Seiten erschlossene Fläche, die derzeit als Schrebergartensiedlung genutzt wird. Für diese Fläche erstellte Lebenswert in Abstimmung mit der Stadtplanung Singen eine neue Studie, unter den Aspekten des von allen Beteiligten verabschiedeten Regelwerks. Beide Studien finden Sie im Anhang.

Im Oktober 2018 fand dann eine Klausurtagung mit dem Gemeinderat statt, bei der unter anderem das Projekt inhaltlich und städtebaulich vorgestellt wurde. Im Nachgang wurde das Thema nochmals mit allen Fraktionen im Detail diskutiert. Über die Vergabe des Grundstücks an Lebenswert entscheidet nun der Gemeinderat. Wann es zu einer konkreten Abstimmung kommt, ist noch offen. Bisher verliefen alle Vorstellungen und Gespräche im nichtöffentlichen Raum. Deshalb konnten wir auch nichts Konkretes bis dato berichten. Inzwischen sind die Intentionen von Lebenswert auf diesem Gelände durch die Medien verbreitet und gibt uns die Möglichkeit über einen Zwischenstand unserer Bemühungen zu berichten.
